Lauren Dunton (she/her/hers) is a Senior Associate at Abt Associates with over 15 years of experience in conducting research and evaluation of homelessness programs and interventions and providing related technical assistance. She is an experienced qualitative researcher, including conducting interviews with people currently experiencing homelessness. Currently, Ms. Dunton is leading an evaluation looking at encampment responses in the Los Angeles region which incorporates the perspectives of homeless service providers, people living in the encampments, and housed residents in the area. Recently, Ms. Dunton led the HHS/HUD-funded study investigating city responses to homeless encampments and the associated costs in cities across the U.S. Ms. Dunton holds a Masters in Public Policy from The Johns Hopkins University.
