Saba Mwine, She/Her is Managing Director of the Homelessness Policy Research Institute (HPRI), over 100 researchers, policymakers, service providers & people with lived experience accelerating equitable & culturally informed solutions to homelessness in Los Angeles by advancing knowledge & fostering transformational partnerships between research, policy & practice. Saba has 20 years experience spearheading housing justice work nationally: measuring access to housing based on race & other protected classes & supporting equity centered initiatives in the movement to end homelessness. Saba played numerous roles, from project designer & civil rights investigator to racial equity educator & practitioner. At the CSH, she established racial equity initiatives via fundraising, programming & transformative learnings, & guiding community initiatives. Saba is a classically trained actor & holds an MFA in theatre; she is committed to art for healing racial trauma & shaping community spaces.
